Knysna's
natural beauty has drawn more artists, crafters and
creative spirits than any other location in South Africa:
- The Knysna Fine
Arts Gallery is the largest gallery in the
Western Cape with an excellent reflection of the areas talent.
- The Knysna
Forest is a rich source of fine timbers and
woodwork. Visit Feathers Gallery, with
it's exquisitely handcrafted birds of wood.
- There are a
variety of studio's, where potters, painters,
woodcarvers, leather workers and other artists may be
visited.
- The Wilderness Craft
Market with its village-market atmosphere is on the last
Sunday of the month at the mouth of the Touw River.
- The Traders
Market takes place on the second Sunday of each month
in in front of the Karos Wilderness Hotel. Jumble, bric-a-brac, crafts
and food are among diverse items for sale.
